"But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of
this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is
the image of God, should shine on them." (2 Cor. 4:3-4) "And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God." (Rom. 12:2)
In the book Twilight of a Great Civilization, Carl Henry observes, "We are so steeped in the
anti-Christ philosophy - namely, that success consists in embracing not the values of the Sermon
on the Mount but an infinity of material things, of sex, and of status. We do not sense how much
passes for Christianity which in reality is an apostate compromise with the spirit of the age."

As Christians, we must strive to maintain our uniqueness and not be conformed to this present evil world.
