"The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy
them." (Prov. 11:3) "A man will be commended according to his wisdom, but he who is of a
perverse heart will be despised." (Prov. 12:8)
In the book, "The Day America Told the Truth," by James Patterson and Peter Kim, it is reported
that when a national survey asked respondents to rank various professions for their honesty and
integrity, TV evangelists came out almost at the very bottom, below lawyers, politicians, car
salesmen, and even prostitutes. Out of the seventy-three occupations compared in the integrity
rating, only two ended up lower on the scale than TV evangelist: organized crime bosses and drug
dealers.
It is evident that most people do not trust TV evangelists, and rightly so, because many of them
not only use pressure tactics to obtain money, but also preach a perverted gospel.
